17th September 2017
- The service next Sunday will be conducted by Lyall
- The first Canisbay Guild meeting of the new session will be on Tuesday 26th September, at 7.00pm in the Church Hall. It takes the form of a fund raising meal generously provided by Isabel MacKay, and all are welcome. We need to know roughly how many to cater for, so please get in touch with any Guild member if you are able to come and join us.
- Monthly evening service at Freswick Castle. We will be gathering as usual on the last Sunday of the month the 24th of September.
This will be a special Sunday! Please be there half an hour earlier than usual, by SIX.
We’ll be there to witness the baptism of Murran Skene, the plan is for this to be off the beach but if it is too rough it may be necessary to
relocate to the deep pool in the burn by the castle.
You can stay indoors if you wish but if you would like to be there for the actual event you will need suitable clothing and footwear such as wellies and maybe waterproofs – bear in mind our recent weather – and it is about a quarter of a mile of rough and quite likely muddy walking to the middle of the beach.
Everyone is very welcome to this special event, refreshments will be provided as usual afterwards, remember to be there by six
- The ordination of Rev. David McCartney to North Coast will take place on Friday 22nd at 7pm in Strathy Church. All are welcome.
